By the end of this training, you will be equipped to recognize the signs and risk factors associated with child abuse and neglect, and you will understand your legal responsibility to report suspected abuse under Arizona law, A.R.S. § 13-3620. You will also learn proactive strategies to help prevent abuse before it occurs and gain guidance on how to respond appropriately and compassionately when a child chooses to disclose. This training is designed to strengthen both your awareness and your confidence in protecting the children entrusted to your care.
